Over the past few years the way that I learn information has slowly
changed. What used to be direct learning from a teacher or tutor now is split
70/30 to online learning. Instead of just pen and paper it's now keyboard and
mouse (mostly mouse) where I can find myself trawling through wikis and
articles to find everything that I need to know about a certain topic.
In terms of a Personal Learning Network I would have to say that I find
it easy to sort through the waste of useless websites that spam you with
unimportant information. I find that the best information can be found through
means of non-popular websites so instead of using websites like Instagram and
Pinterest and twitter (not really information websites but some people use them
for these means) and instead I use YouTube wikihow, google (hehe), reddit etc.
I find that the majority of information that an IT student could ever need
would either be found on YouTube or Wikipedia. They just have an unmatched
source of information from walkthroughs to how-tos.
5.1.4:
I feel that my PLN comes across as a more modern up to date version of
what an IT students studying style is. Instead of fancy useless websites and
instead it focuses more on reliable and accurate websites.
