Who I am and Privacy Opinion.

Who I am:

I am currently a student from Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT), Napier, New Zealand doing a Bachelor of Computing Systems (BCS)
Over the Past few years I have honed my skill set in website development and design with a side interest in Hardware technology.
I am always ready to learn new skills and technology in the IT industry. I hope to one day master my website development and design skills.
My interests consist of Fishing during the quiet days (unfortunately never caught a fish), Building Custom PC's, gaming on all platforms and hanging out with my friends.
So far at EIT I have learnt a wide range of IT and Business skills ranging from:
  • Hardware installation and management
  • Software development and management (OS's and bundle programs)
  • Website design and development (alongside plugin design and development)
  • Project and Team management
  • Multiple coding languages.

Current and past projects that I have worked on:

Website design and development:

During the time period of my final project I proceeded to design and develop a website for the Napier CAB. I also Installed a networked PC system for them consisting of 6 desktop PCs and 1 laptop.

Recently i was asked by the head of Disability at EIT to create a forum for her based around a private trading forum as a form of replacement over the current facebook page that they use.

Views on Privacy of private and open blogs that have been published on the internet:

A Users blog can contain a wealth of information about them, information that ranges from the users birthdate and gender and in some extreme cases users can even divulge contact details like cellphone numbers and email address.

When a user decides to make and maintain a blog it should be important to note that when the blog is created the privacy settings are well looked at so that the user can see what can be protected and what cannot.

I feel that a user should make sure that if they are going to make a blog that they make sure that any form of private or personal information does not get added to a post where the whole internet can see it.

Every blog that is currently popular on the internet has the options and settings that allow the user to choose who can view the blog and what content inside of the blog can be viewed all it takes is knowing where and how to change these settings.
